StatSheet's ACC Player of the Week for February 18th goes to North Carolina's P.J. Hairston. StatSheet's ACC Freshman of the Week is Duke's Rasheed Sulaimon. Finally, Tyler Thornton from Duke is StatSheet's ACC 6th Man of the Week. Hairston registered big numbers in shooting (50%), rebounding (7.5 per game), and three pointers (3.5 per game). The North Carolina sophomore put these numbers up in a victory versus Virginia and an unfortunate loss to Duke.

Hairston topped all scoring and rebounding for the Tar Heels with 23 points and 8 rebounds in a 73-68 loss to Duke. He followed that up with a team-leading 29 points plus an additional 7 rebounds in a narrow 93-81 win against Virginia.

This is the first time this season that P.J. Hairston has been selected StatSheet ACC Player of the Week. However, he has finished second once. The runner-up this week is Alex Len, a sophomore from Maryland. Honorable mention goes to Duke sophomore Quinn Cook. Shane Larkin finished 16th and was the highest ranking player from Miami (FL).

StatSheet ACC Freshman of the Week: Duke's Rasheed Sulaimon

Rasheed Sulaimon averaged 35 minutes of playing time starting both games for Duke. In a late 73-68 win over North Carolina, Sulaimon chalked up 13 points and 5 assists. Then in an 83-81 loss to Maryland, he put up 16 points and 4 rebounds.

This is the second time for Rasheed Sulaimon, who won the StatSheet ACC Freshman of the Week earlier this season. Jake Layman from Maryland grabs runner-up. Honorable mention goes to Seth Allen from Maryland.

StatSheet ACC 6th Man of the Week: Duke's Tyler Thornton

Junior Tyler Thornton, a 6-1 reserve guard, averaged 23 minutes of action over the two games for the Blue Devils. In the win over North Carolina, Thornton put up 9 points and 3 rebounds. Then in the loss to Maryland, he racked up 2 assists and 4 steals.

This is Tyler Thornton's first StatSheet ACC 6th Man of the Week award this season. Our own Reggie Johnson is runner up. Eddie Odio, a sophomore forward from Boston College, earns honorable mention. Miami (FL) has 4 StatSheet ACC Player of the Week wins this season.
