Reggie Johnson Wins the StatSheet ACC Sixth Man of the Week - February 4th, 2013

StatSheet's ACC Player of the Week for February 4th goes to Erick Green from Virginia Tech. StatSheet's ACC Freshman of the Week goes to Rasheed Sulaimon from Duke. Also, Reggie Johnson has won StatSheet's ACC 6th Man of the Week.

Green led all of the ACC in scoring (23.0 pts per game). He also put up 4 rebounds per game, 3.5 assists per game, and 3.5 three pointers per game. The Virginia Tech senior played well in losses to Miami (FL) and North Carolina.

Green led all scoring for the Hokies with 30 points while adding 3 assists in a 73-64 loss to Miami (FL). That was followed by a team-leading 16 point and 6 rebound performance in a 72-60 loss to North Carolina.

This is the first StatSheet ACC Player of the Week honor for Erick Green. The runner-up this week is our own Shane Larkin. Honorable mention goes to senior Mason Plumlee from Duke.

StatSheet ACC Freshman of the Week: Duke's Rasheed Sulaimon

Rasheed Sulaimon averaged 29 minutes starting both games for Duke. In a late 75-70 win over Wake Forest, Sulaimon rang up 6 points and 4 rebounds. Then in a 79-60 win against Florida State, he dialed up 14 points and 3 assists.

This marks the first time this season that Rasheed Sulaimon has won the StatSheet ACC Freshman of the Week. Marcus Paige from North Carolina gets runner-up. Honorable mention goes to Marcus Georges-Hunt from Georgia Tech.

StatSheet ACC 6th Man of the Week: Miami (FL)'s Reggie Johnson

Senior Reggie Johnson, a 6-10 reserve center, averaged 22 minutes over two games for the Hurricanes. In a 73-64 win against Virginia Tech, Johnson led the rebounding for the Hurricanes with 10 and also added. During a last-minute 79-78 win over NC State, he led all rebounding with 8 and added 60% shooting.

This is the first StatSheet ACC 6th Man of the Week honor for Reggie Johnson. Kammeon Holsey, a junior forward from Georgia Tech, is runner up. Jackson Simmons, a sophomore forward from North Carolina, receives honorable mention. Including this week, Miami (FL) players have been named StatSheet ACC Player of the Week 4 times this season.
